Thousands of job seekers flocked to the Ayat Festival 2025 Job Fair in La Union on March 2, hoping to land employment opportunities.
Held on the second floor of the Mabanag Building in San Fernando City, the job fair offered a total of 1,432 vacancies from 21 local companies and four overseas employers.
The event saw a strong turnout, with 28 applicants hired on the spot.
The initiative aims to strengthen La Union’s economy by providing more job opportunities for its residents.
As part of the Ayat Festival, the Kadiwa ng Pangulo was also launched on March 2 at the Mabanag Grounds in San Fernando City.
The market featured fresh produce and locally made products sold directly by farmers and cooperatives at affordable prices.
Many residents took the opportunity to shop for high-quality goods while supporting local agriculture.
The event also served as a boost to the province’s agri-tourism sector, attracting both buyers and tourists.
