OVER P800-K WORTH OF SHABU, SEIZED IN DRUG BUSTS IN PANGASINAN AND NUEVA VIZCAYA

A 51-year-old man was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Urdaneta City, Pangasinan, after selling shabu to an undercover agent of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).

The suspect, identified as Jimmy Andres from San Manuel, Pangasinan, was caught in possession of 100 grams of shabu worth P680,000.

Authorities also confiscated a shotgun pistol, drug paraphernalia, transaction money, and other items from him.

He is now under the custody of PDEA Pangasinan Provincial Office Jail and faces charges for violating Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) and Republic Act 9165 (Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).

Meanwhile, another drug suspect was arrested in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya, in a separate buy-bust operation.

The 48-year-old man was found in possession of 35 grams of shabu worth P219,000. He is now detained at the PDEA Region 2 facility and will face charges under the Dangerous Drugs Act.

Authorities continue to intensify their operations against illegal drugs to curb the spread of narcotics in the region.
