P2-K WORTH OF ILLEGAL DRUGS, SEIZED FROM CONSTRUCTION WORKER IN ILOCOS NORTE

A 42-year-old construction worker was arrested during a buy-bust operation in Barangay San Rufino, San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, on April 8.

The suspect was caught selling three sachets of suspected shabu to undercover operatives.

Additional packets were found in his pocket, with the total seizure amounting to an estimated 2,000 pesos worth of illegal drugs.

He is now in police custody and will face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Meanwhile, in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur, a 39-year-old man previously jailed for drug charges was arrested again in a buy-bust operation on April 7.

Authorities confiscated five sachets of suspected shabu weighing 11 grams and valued at 74,800 pesos.

Other items recovered included a tricycle, two mobile phones, and documents used in drug transactions.

The suspect had previously served seven years in prison after his 2013 arrest and was released through a plea bargaining agreement.

In another operation on the same day, a 39-year-old male high-value drug personality was arrested in Barangay Poro, San Fernando City, La Union.

Authorities seized seven sachets of suspected shabu weighing 3 grams worth approximately 20,400 pesos.

A .38 caliber revolver with six bullets and other drug paraphernalia were also confiscated.

The suspect will face charges for drug possession and violation of the Comelec gun ban.
