P4.3-M WORTH OF MARIJUANA, DESTROYED IN SEPARATE PNP, PDEA OPERATIONS IN BENGUET

The PDEA Region 1 and Benguet PPO wasted no time uprooting marijuana plants during their raid on January 23 in Barangay Badeo, Kibungan, Benguet.

Around 18,200 plants were uprooted from three plantations spanning 2,500 square meters, with an estimated value of 3.6 million pesos.

Meanwhile, another marijuana plantation was discovered in Barangay Tacadang.

Approximately 250,000 plants were uprooted and burned by the authorities, valued at over 700,000 pesos.

No cultivators were found at the sites, and investigations are underway to identify the owners of the plantations.
