Pangasinan, Claims Second Place in 2025 Subaybayani Awards of DILG Region 1

The provincial government of Pangasinan secured second place in the Provincial Government Category of the 2025 Subaybayani Awards, an annual recognition program of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) honoring effective and transparent local governance.

The awarding ceremony was held on November 21, marking the culmination of the yearly acknowledgment of local governments that demonstrated exceptional monitoring and implementation of projects across Region 1.

DILG Region 1 emphasized that the awards serve as proof of the province’s strong leadership and accountability.

The program also showcased projects of LGUs that created positive impacts in their communities.

Several local executives were recognized for responsible and transparent governance that benefited their constituents.

Alaminos City in Pangasinan was also honored under the City Government Category, while the Municipality of Sison earned recognition in the Municipal Government Category for its consistent efforts to ensure proper project implementation.

The awards, according to DILG, reflect the unity of communities in Region 1 toward stronger and more effective governance.

Governor Ramon V. Guico III emphasized that the provincial government will continue strengthening its programs to guarantee transparency and efficient project delivery.
