PANGASINAN GOVERNMENT, AIDS FAMILY OF SICK CHILD

BY: VALERIE DISMAYA

In the face of adversity, the provincial government of Pangasinan continues to extend not only services but also hope, as shown in the story of the Gutierrez family, who are fighting for the treatment of their daughter, Christell.

Under the leadership of Governor Ramon V. Guico III, the provincial government has once again provided medical assistance to the family, whose child suffers from a serious eye condition that requires chemotherapy and specialized care.

Christell’s father, Christopher Gutierrez, shared how their family has struggled financially, even selling their possessions and livestock to cover medical expenses.

At times, they had to borrow money from friends and relatives just to keep up with the cost of treatment.

Despite these challenges, Christopher remained determined.

He made several visits to the provincial capitol seeking help, and he wasn’t disappointed.

This year, they once again received assistance that helped continue Christell’s medication.

“This means so much to us. Thank you to the governor and everyone at the capitol who supported us,” Christopher said, holding back tears.

Christell herself expressed her gratitude to Governor Guico and the people behind the support. “Thank you, Ma’am Maan. Thank you, Sir Gov,” she said.

For the people of Pangasinan, “public service” is not just a slogan, it’s a commitment.

And for Governor Guico, delivering aid to every Pangasinense in need is a promise he intends to keep.
