Opportunities in education and employment have opened for Pangasinenses with the establishment of Pangasinan Polytechnic College (PPC), one of the legacy projects of Governor Ramon V. Guico III.
PPC not only provides quality education but has also created jobs for many locals.
Among those who benefited is Cheenie Rose Bermas, now the program chairperson of BS Agribusiness.
Bermas previously taught for three years as a contractual employee at another university before joining PPC, where she started as a consultant and later secured a permanent position as Assistant Professor III.
Bermas shared her appreciation for the institution’s leadership, emphasizing how all employees are given a voice regardless of status, age, or gender.
She expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to continue her passion for teaching through PPC.
Acknowledging the difficulty of entering government service, Bermas thanked the provincial government for prioritizing education and establishing PPC, which continues to expand its programs to reach more learners across Pangasinan.
