The Pulido family’s home in Barangay Bantay, Mangatarem, Pangasinan, was nearly engulfed by fire.
The blaze broke out around 9 a.m. on December 7, leaving Juliana terrified and frantic.
According to Juliana Torres, one of the Fire Victims, “I couldn’t handle it, ma’am, because I was carrying my baby. I couldn’t get up, so I just let it go. I made sure my child and niece got out safely. I couldn’t extinguish the fire, so I just left.”
The provincial government responded compassionately to the consecutive tragedies that struck the Dela Cruz family in Barangay Maningding, Sta. Barbara.
After losing both parents in quick succession, their home was also consumed by fire.
Nothing was left of their belongings, but with assistance from the provincial government, they are slowly recovering from the tragedy.
Meanwhile, in Sitio Alog, Barangay Maningding, Nanay Esther De Vera’s hard-earned home was reduced to ashes.
She managed to save only herself and now resides with her relatives.
Governor Ramon V. Guico III, alongside the First Spouses League of Pangasinan, led by Maan Tuazon-Guico, immediately responded by distributing relief goods, including rice, grocery items, and spaghetti packages.
The Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office is currently processing documents to provide financial assistance to the victims.
