The provincial government of Pangasinan has begun construction on a new hemodialysis center at Bayambang District Hospital, aiming to expand healthcare services for kidney patients in the province.
Governor Ramon V. Guico III led the groundbreaking ceremony on March 6, emphasizing the administration’s commitment to modernizing hospitals and improving healthcare accessibility.
“The Bayambang District Hospital is in a progressive location, and we are committed to its modernization,” Governor Guico said.
Currently, Pangasinan has three operational hemodialysis centers at Pangasinan Provincial Hospital, Urdaneta District Hospital, and Western Pangasinan District Hospital.
The new facility in Bayambang will help accommodate more patients needing regular dialysis treatment.
The provincial government also plans to establish hemodialysis centers in Eastern Pangasinan District Hospital, Lingayen District Hospital, Mangatarem District Hospital, and Umingan Super Community Hospital in the coming years.
In addition to the new center, Bayambang District Hospital received advanced medical equipment, including a 32-slice CT scan, ultrasound machines, and portable X-ray devices.
Vice Governor Mark Ronald Lambino stated that these improvements reflect the province’s commitment to better healthcare.
“This event is proof of the administration’s dedication to enhancing healthcare services and improving lives,” Lambino said.
Governor Guico also revealed plans to open a school of medicine at Pangasinan Polytechnic College, aiming to address the province’s shortage of doctors and medical professionals.
With continuous hospital modernization and medical education programs, the provincial government ensures that quality healthcare services will be accessible to all Pangasinenses.
