Parantac, Inso led Teamp Ph to 9-5-1 gold-silver-bronze in tai ji virtual competition

Practically denied of golds during the Southeast Asian Games last month in Hanoi, Vietnam, the Philippine wushu taolu team had a gold splurge in the “The Sports for All Online Games and The Global 2022 Tai Ji Quan Virtual Competition” recently.

Daniel Parantac, who was practically shut down in the delayed biennial meet took two gold medals on top of a silver to power Team Philippines to a nine gold, five silver and a bronze medal in the online competitions to make up for his performance in the Hanoi Games.

The event that saw 23,169 performance videos and have been uploaded and 18,125 passed the initial review of the organizing committee from May 11, 2022 until June 24 saw the most veteran member of team Phiulippines win the 24 Steps Tai ji Quan and  42 Steps Tai ji Quan, while settling for the silver in 32 Steps Tai ji Jian.

Jones Llabares Inso, meanwhile, took two gold medals and a bronze medal in the event.  He got gold medals in 56 Chen Style Tai ji Quan and 24 Steps Tai ji Quan, while settling for the bronze medal in 42 Steps Tai ji Jian.

Agatha Chrystenzen Wong on the other hand a 1-2 gold silver medal finishes in 24 Steps Tai ji Quan and  42 Steps Tai ji Quan and 42 Steps Tai ji Jian.

Hans Tingal Lubguban also had a splash as connected for gold medals in 24 Steps Tai ji Quan and 32 Steps Tai ji Jian.

Tate Mathew Tiu Chuang had a golden performance in  24 Steps Tai ji Quan a silver in 32 Steps Tai ji Jian.

Zion Daraliay, meanwhile, had a silver performance in  24 Steps Tai ji Quan.

In the group event, Wong, Parantac, Inso and Tiu Chuang topped the 8 Methods and 5 Steps.

Parantac is a University of the Cordilleras student who is one of the most senior of the taolu players or the finer side of the Chinese martial arts and one of the 32 athletes recebtl feature din the Heroes: Wall of Fame at the Baguio athletic bowl.

Inso, the most recent member, of the Philippine wushu team, is a Saint Louis University student who won a silver and bronze medal in the last SEAG.

Meanwhile, in the online popularity contest, the Philippines garnered three gold medals, nine silver and two bronze medals with Tiu Chuang winning gold medals in 24 steps Tai ji Jian after 2,485 votes and in 2 steps Tai Ji jian with 2,525 votes.

Daraliay, meanwhile, took first in 24 steps tai ji Quan after 2,113 votes.

Parantac, on the other hand, had silver medals in 24 steps Tai ji quan after 185 votes, 32 steps tai ji jian (139 votes) and 42 steps Tai ji Quan (269 votes).

Inso had 128 votes in 24 steps Tai ji Quan and 189 votes in 42 steps Tai ji Jian, which were good silver, while his 144 votes in 42 steps Tai ji Jian was good for bronze.

Wong took second places in 24 steps tai ji Quan (234 votes) and  42 steps tai ji Quan (146votes). And a participation award in 42 steps Tai ji Jian (124 votes).

Lubguban had a silver and bronze performances in 32 steps tai ji Jian (55 votes) and 24 steps Tai ji Quan (50 votes).

In the group Event Wong, Parantac, Inso and Tiu Chuang had 303 votes to settle for second place. Pigeon Lobien
