PCSO hands over P5M worth of med, food supplies in Cag Val

Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) general manager Royina Garma herself distributed food packs, medicines and medical equipment to Local Government Units (LGUs), National Government Agencies (NGAs) and Educational Institutions in Cagayan Valley region over the weekend.

Wheelchairs, stretchers, hospital beds, masks, gloves, personal protective equipment and medicines worth P5,298,240.00 were received in behalf of beneficiaries by Cagayan Valley police director Brigadier General Steve Ludan, Cagayan police director Colonel Renell Sabaldica, Bureau of Fire Protection region 2 director Chief Inspector John Dulin; and Local Chief Executives of Cagayan, Nueva Vizcaya and Kalinga provinces.

“We are here to fullfill the directive of our president to distribute charity funds for those who are in need. Marami tayong pondo, handa kaming magbigay ng tulong lalo na ngayong pandemya pero nakikiusap kami sa mga LGUs, NGAs o kung anumang organisayong nais makakuha ng ayuda mula sa PCSO na ayusin kaagad ang liquidation ninyo dahil doon tayo nagkakaproblema,” Garma emphasized. She vowed that PCSO will continue to provide funds for healthcare especially for Covid19 patients seeking medical attention.

Garma expressed her gratitude to the leadership of PRO2 for providing assistance and support to PCSO as their partner agency in the delivery of services to the people of Cagayan Valley.

The PCSO hand over of asssistance is in line with its 87th Founding Anniversary celebration.
