Narcotics agents on Friday and Saturday nabbed seven drug personalities in two separate drug operations and more than P340,000 worth of suspected shabu.

The Phillipine Drug Enforcement Agency – Cordillera in a report said that its agents from PDEA – Benguet under IAV Edwin Changrapen arrested a drug peddler described as bully, rowdy and a vandal every time he is high on drugs with his gang Friday night.

Changrapen and posse collared Gerold Yanog, 26, in a buy bust operation at Mirador – Dominican Road at 7PM that Friday.

He was, however, “meek as lamb” when PDEA agents handcuffed him.

At dawn the next day, PDEA agents from Baguio led by Reiner Tinong waiving a search warrant breached a drug lair used as a gambling den at Palangdao Building at Kayang, Hilltop.

This led to the arrest of the drug den’s operator, a certain Francis Juan Conting and five others.

The narcs also confiscated 50 grams of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, ammunitions and cellphones

The haul was estimated at P340,000, the PDEA – Cordillera said but it could be higher until their chemist makes the final inventory.

The gambling den was rigged with alarm to alert raiding authorities, the PDEA – Cordillera added.

In a release, the PDEA – Cordillera said: “Conting has been the subject of different law enforcement operations often eluding arrest because of some connections. His cellphone will be subjected to a forensic to determine his contacts and godfathers.”
