Plastic materials warehouse, caught fire in Dagupan City

The sirens of firefighters startled several Dagupan residents at around eight p.m. last night, September 29.

A fire broke out on the third floor of this building along A.B. Fernandez Avenue in Dagupan City.

“They declared fire out around 11:00 p.m. last night,” said Peejae Salazar Jabson, a resident.

However, two hours after the fire was extinguished, it reignited at around 1 in the morning.

From a Facebook post by Dagupan City Mayor Belen Fernandez, it was confirmed that the third floor contained a warehouse of plastic materials.

“It was windy in that area, and the third floor was a warehouse for plastic materials, which is why the fire reignited around 1:00 a.m.,” Jabson narrated.

It wasn’t until 8 in the morning on September 30 that the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) declared the fire out.

The news team attempted to get a statement from the Dagupan BFP, but they declined to comment while the investigation into the fire’s origin continues.
