On December 2, Pangasinan Polytechnic College (PPC) sparkled brightly during the “Silewan: Christmas Lighting Program.”
For the first time, the entire campus was lit up after it officially opened last August.
The event featured water lanterns made by the students, floating around the campus grounds.
“They’re really beautiful, and you can see the effort from every program that made these water lanterns,” said Prince Elmer De Guzman, a student.
Students also showcased their talents through various performances.
One of the performers was Prince Elmer, who took center stage in their dance performance.
“Yes, I really enjoyed it, especially since I got to showcase my talent and skills in dancing. It’s heartwarming to see so many people enjoying what we worked hard for during practices,” De Guzman stated.
The PPC Chorale serenaded the audience with their musical numbers.
And because it’s the season of giving, the college launched its first-ever book drive.
According to Dr. Raymundo Rovillos, President of the PPC, “We believe that a college or university without books is like a body without a soul. So this is our best gift for you this Christmas, the launch of our book drive that you can all benefit from. Merry Christmas to everyone.”
Before the celebration ended, Guicosina on Wheels served 1,000 bowls of sopas, perfect for the chilly December air.
