As early as 6 in the evening on Saturday, January 25, a crowd had already formed outside SM City Baguio.
But the show wasn’t on a screen, it was in the night sky.
This January, the so-called “planetary parade” of celestial bodies could be seen, showcasing planets appearing as if marching in formation.
The event was part of “A Spectacle in the Night Sky,” hosted by the mall.
The rare event captivated both residents and tourists alike.
With the help of compound telescopes, attendees marveled at planets like Venus, Jupiter, and more.
Among those who tried was Althea, a student.
Children, accompanied by their parents, were also delighted by the view.
Members of the University of the Philippines Baguio Astronomical Society also shared their insights, highlighting the deeper significance of stargazing.
The planetary parade is expected to continue until February.
