In line with its commitment to protecting women and children, the municipal government of Pugo conducted a seminar on Republic Act 9262, also known as the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004.
Led by the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), the seminar aimed to educate participants on their rights and protection against abuse.
Discussions also covered topics such as responsible parenthood, pregnancy, wellness, mental health, and stress management.
The event was attended by 26 parent leaders from the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) and 75 solo parents, all of whom received hygiene kits as part of the Women’s Month celebration.
The distribution symbolized the local government’s recognition of their health and well-being.
Meanwhile, the municipality of Pugo also took part in the worldwide Earth Hour campaign on March 22.
In support of environmental conservation efforts, residents and local officials switched off their lights and participated in a short program promoting energy conservation.
The event served as a reminder of the importance of reducing electricity consumption and supporting eco-friendly initiatives.
The municipal government expressed its gratitude to all who joined the initiative and encouraged the public to adopt sustainable practices beyond Earth Hour.
These activities reflect Pugo’s commitment to promoting the welfare of its citizens while upholding environmental responsibility.
