A new digital learning hub has been launched in Pugo, La Union, as the town inaugurated its first e-library on March 26.
This marks the seventh public e-library in the province, aiming to provide students and residents with better access to information and technology.
Mayor Kurt Walter Martin led the inauguration alongside local government officials, representatives from the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), and other stakeholders.
The project is seen as a significant step in enhancing digital literacy and education in the municipality.
With the establishment of the e-library, students can now access online resources, research materials, and internet services to aid their studies.
The facility is expected to bridge the gap in information accessibility, making learning more convenient and efficient.
DICT expressed full support for the initiative, promising continued technical assistance to ensure the e-library’s sustainable operations.
The local government hopes that more programs like this will be implemented to further improve the quality of education in Pugo.
