Hope and inspiration to complete their studies and secure a better future—this is what Pangasinan Polytechnic College – Center for Lifelong Learning or PPC-CeLL offers to its students.

This initiative is part of the Special Training for Employment Program under the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

Among those who benefited from PPC-CeLL are Emmanuel and Romer, graduates of the Electrical Installation and Maintenance (EIM) NC II program.

Emmanuel Mangapot, an EIM NC II Graduate – PPC, expressed, “It inspired me, ma’am, to enroll in NC II because this certification is really for employment. When we heard about the available slots in PPC, we gave it a try, and luckily, we were included in the scholarship. We were excited because after our training, we had better employment opportunities, unlike before when we didn’t have the training, it was hard to apply.”

Romer Reyes, EIM NC II Graduate – PPC, stated, “We’re thankful to Governor Guico because, without him, PPC wouldn’t exist. When we first heard about this program, we pushed ourselves to apply. I encouraged my peers who wanted to enhance their skills in electrical installation and maintenance. If you rate it from 1 to 10, I’d give it a 10. I highly recommend it—the instructors were outstanding, approachable, and very knowledgeable.”

The establishment of PPC-CeLL is one of the Provincial Government’s major steps to provide free, quality education to Pangasinenses.

Now, graduates of the EIM NC II program are equipped with the skills needed to work in various industries.

For Justine and Ernie, also graduates of the program, the scholarship they received was a huge help.

“We are thankful to Ramon V. Guico III for giving us the opportunity to study at the Polytechnic College. Thanks to him, we had the chance to earn certifications, allowances, and toolkits we can use to start working,” said Justine Penullar, an EIM NC II Graduate – PPC.

“I learned so much here, ma’am, from installing and wiring standards to computations. I’m grateful to our Governor Ramon Guico III for establishing PPC; it has helped many people. For those seeking courses, just apply to PPC,” said Ernie Ramos, an EIM NC II Graduate – PPC.

According to PPC-CeLL, they plan to expand their training programs.

In addition to EIM NC II, a new program, Automotive Servicing NC I, will soon be available.

Through these efforts, more Pangasinenses will have the chance to study and find employment.
