Pangasinan Provincial Administrator Melicio Patague II visited several provincial hospitals.
His goal was to ensure an efficient system, organizational structure, collection drive, and inspect the infrastructures in these provincial hospitals.
“On innovating, we keep on evolving as an organization, as an institution, even though Governor Monmon never runs out of ideas on how we can improve our service to our province,โ says Pangasinan Provincial Administrator Melicio Patague II.
Aside from this, they also inspected the medical equipment and ongoing repairs in some hospital facilities.
Upon reaching Dasol Provincial Hospital, he was welcomed by the hospital employees, and he inquired about their situation.
Here, the hospital officials showed him the new anesthesia machine they received from the provincial government under the leadership of Governor Ramon V. Guico III.
According to Dr. Ginalyn Malalis, Chief of Hospital – Dasol Community Hospital, “This used to be our operating room; if you notice, the ceiling is falling apart, the lights are old, and the anesthesia machine broke down, so we couldnโt use it anymore because it was busted. After I made a request, thanks to the province of Pangasinan, they responded quickly, and we received an anesthesia machine, operating machine, and operating lights. Now, they are here.”
Meanwhile, Bolinao Community Hospital proudly announced they are offering free consultations for animal bite victims.
This is through the E-Konsulta Program of Medical Assistance for Indigent and Financially Incapacitated Patients (MAIPP).
Dr. Genevieve Rivera, Chief of Hospital – Bolinao Community Hospital, stated, “We are dealing with many cases of animal bites because we provide free treatment for them through E-Consultation under MAIPP. We have treated as many as 412 animal bites, and the reason for this surge is the increased awareness. People now know to go to the hospital for checkups right after being bitten, unlike before when they would just ignore it, thinking it was not a serious matter. The free treatment also encourages them.”
Pangasinan Provincial Administrator Melicio Patague II is scheduled to visit other hospitals in the province to assess their condition and ensure the delivery of high-quality medical services to the people of Pangasinan.
