SLEEPING MAN, STABBED BY AN OLD RIVAL

Found bleeding and gasping for breath, this was how authorities discovered the 35-year-old man in Purok 24, San Carlos Heights, Barangay Irisan, Baguio City.

The man was stabbed by a distant relative with whom he had a dispute.

According to the Baguio City Police Office, the incident happened at around 7:50 PM on February 24 while the victim was sleeping in the house he was staying in.

The suspect was identified as a 32-year-old man who is a distant relative of the victim.

According to BCPO and local residents, the victim and suspect had an argument earlier that day.

BCPO’s investigation revealed that the victim and suspect had a long-standing conflict, and the suspect may have finally lost patience.

The weapon used in the crime was recovered at the scene before the suspect fled.

The victim was taken to the hospital and is now in stable condition.

Police are still searching for the suspect, who may face frustrated murder charges.
