SM City Baguio joins Online Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill

Employees at SM City Baguio joined in the 3rd Quarter Online Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) organized by the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) on September 16, 2021.

Upon hearing the sound of siren, SM City Baguio admin employees immediately and safely performed the DUCK, COVER, and HOLD under their desks while observing physical distancing. Mall tenant employees and security personnel also did the duck, cover, and hold maneuver in their respective areas.

SM continues their partnership with ARISE-Philippines in participating at the NSED in order to support the advocacy of disaster resilience and including the safety assurance of mall goers and employees.

The mall participation in the NSED is to build the confidence in disaster resilience and to encourage keeping calm for the employees in case of a real-life earthquake. This is as well to lessen panic and confusion during the occurrence of the natural disaster.
