Several hundreds of running enthusiasts are expected to see action in the three categories in the Strawberry Festival Run 2023 Saturday.
The Aid Station Cafe and the local government of La Trinidad race is one of the major sports events of the annual festivity.
The event in partnership with Team Pinikpikan Trail Runners, Altra Running Philippines, A.S. Bike Shop will have a 21 kilometer run, 12K and 5K.
Assembly time will be at 4AM at the La Trinidad Municipal Grounds which also serves as the finish line. This will be followed with an orientation at 430AM before the first gun start at 5AM for the 21K run. Gun time for the 12K run is 530AM, while 6AM is for the 5K event.
Cut off time is five hours for the longest route and four and three hours for the 12K and 5K, respectively.
Registration fees are: PhP1,450 for the 21K, PhP1,250 for the 12K and PhP850 for the 5K.
This entitles a runner to a race snack after the race, food and refreshments at aid stations, medal and a finisher’s shirt.
Race organizers said that aid stations will be located at various points during the race where refreshments and food can be availed of and to be handed down by volunteers and race marshals. There will be four aid stations along the route where time recorders and medics are stationed. Pigeon Lobien
