The Cordillera region’s second city is Covid-19 free.
Ten days with zero case, Tabuk City has no active Covid-19 cases, the Public Information Office – Tabuk reported Monday.
The PIO – Tabuk added that reports from the City Health Office said that the last Covid-19 patient was discharged Monday morning.
The CHO Tabuk likewise said that the last reported case for the city was last December 18.
With the latest health update, Tabuk mayor Darwin Estrañero welcomed the good news but appeals for continued vigilance among the public.
“After a very tough second year of the pandemic, we couldn’t be happier to finally achieve zero COVID-19 status. Still, we appeal to all Tabukeños to remain vigilant and compliant with minimum health standards so that we can maintain this status,” The PIO – Tabuk quoted Estrañero.
“We ask everyone to take precautions this holiday season as social gatherings cannot be helped. We also urge those unvaccinated to get their COVID-19 vaccine as soon as possible to be protected from the virus. That said, we wish everyone happy and safe holiday celebrations,” he added.
