THREE, ARRESTED IN ANTI-DRUG OPERATIONS IN KALINGA AND MOUNTAIN PROVINCE; 17-YEAR-OLD BOY, CAUGHT IN PANGASINAN BUY-BUST OPERATION; P3-M WORTH OF MARIJUANA PLANTS, DISCOVERED IN BENGUET

Police authorities arrested three suspected drug personalities in separate operations in Kalinga and Mountain Province on March 13.

In Barangay Dagupan West, Tabuk City, Kalinga, two high-value individuals, aged 25 and 29, were apprehended.

Authorities seized four sachets of suspected shabu from the 25-year-old suspect, weighing 1.7 grams and valued at over 11,500 pesos.

Meanwhile, the 29-year-old suspect was found with 0.6 grams of shabu worth 4,000 pesos and a plastic container containing three grams of dried marijuana, valued at 30,000 pesos.

In Paracelis, Mountain Province, a 36-year-old woman was arrested in a buy-bust operation.

Police confiscated a sachet of suspected shabu weighing 3.5 grams, with an estimated value of 54,400 pesos.

The suspects will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Bayambang, Pangasinan, on March 19.

Authorities seized 50 grams of suspected shabu, valued at 340,000 pesos, from the minor during the early morning operation.

The suspect will face charges for violating Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) under Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Since the suspect is a minor, he is currently under the custody of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) of Bayambang.

Authorities discovered and destroyed over 3 million pesos worth of marijuana in a series of eradication operations in Benguet on March 13.

A total of 11 plantations were located in the towns of Bakun, Kapangan, and Kibungan, where around 14,080 fully grown marijuana plants were uprooted. Police also confiscated three kilograms of dried marijuana leaves.

No cultivators were arrested during the operations.
