THREE INDIVIDUALS, ARRESTED IN A PDEA DRUG OPERATION IN LA UNION

The two men had no opportunity to resist as PDEA operatives cornered them.

This occurred during a buy-bust operation in Sitio Bataan, Barangay Pagudpud, San Fernando City, La Union, at around 11:00 in the evening on December 3.

The suspects were identified as Mike Kevin Ancheta Bane, 29, and Jash Quezada Balonzo, 27, both residents of Baguio City.

They sold 2 kilograms of dried marijuana leaves worth 60,000 pesos to PDEA operatives.

Meanwhile, in Rosario, La Union, Argie Gapuz Ballesteros, 30, was arrested following the issuance of a search warrant.

A search of his home in Barangay Concepcion yielded nine packets allegedly containing shabu.

The total weight of the confiscated shabu was 2 grams, valued at 13,600 pesos.

Ballesteros, a former drug surrenderee, had been under close surveillance by authorities.

All suspects will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
