Three people were injured after their SUV plunged into a 15-meter deep ravine in Tublay, Benguet.

The accident occurred on Sunday, April 6, while the vehicle was en route to La Trinidad, Benguet.

The vehicle, which was traveling along KM 28 Nalseb in Barangay Ambassador, suddenly veered off the road, falling into the ravine at around 8:00 AM.

According to Tublay Police Chief PMAJ Jim Dagdag, a mechanical failure caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle, which subsequently crashed into the ravine.

Rescue teams and concerned citizens quickly assisted the injured passengers, who sustained various injuries but were reported to be in stable condition after being treated at the hospital.

The Tublay Police stressed the importance of vehicle maintenance, particularly before long trips, as the area where the accident occurred is not typically prone to accidents.

With the influx of travelers expected during the upcoming Holy Week, the police reminded the public to ensure their vehicles are in good condition before traveling.
