Colorful and lively, that’s the celebration of the annual Panagbenga Festival in Baguio City.
But amidst the various performances and colorful parades, there was one group that stood out this year.
The guest performers included young street dancers and the drum and lyre band from Pugo Central Elementary School, bringing the spirit of the Tinungbo Festival.
They performed to the music of the Tinungbo Festival and the Panagbenga Festival Hymn.
The tourists and residents of Baguio warmly supported and admired them.
Meanwhile, under the leadership of Mayor Kurt Walter Martin, the LGU of Pugo distributed modern laser engraving machines to 15 members of the Pugo Wood Crafters Association and the Cares Indigenous Peoples Association.
This project aims to strengthen the woodworking industry in Pugo using modern technology.
It is seen as a key factor for better product quality and broader market opportunities.
The mayor added that this support would make their work easier and ensure adequate future opportunities.
