In a significant arrest, a man listed as the third most wanted provincial level criminal in Ilocos Norte was captured in Vintar.
The suspect, facing charges of statutory rape and sexual assault, was apprehended after a warrant of arrest was served in Barangay 2, Vintar, Ilocos Norte.
The suspect, who was a top priority for the Ilocos Norte Police Provincial Office, is now in the custody of the Vintar Municipal Police Station.
Meanwhile, in a separate operation, authorities in Nueva Vizcaya have arrested a 29-year-old businessman caught in a drug bust.
The operation took place on May 1, 2025, in Barangay Bonfal West, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya, where the suspect was found in possession of nearly 3 grams of shabu worth around 20,000 pesos, along with the cash used for the transaction.
The suspect is currently in the custody of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 2 and is facing charges under Republic Act 9165, the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
