Carlito, 41 years old, was still in shock yesterday, January 5.
The 22-wheeler truck he was driving, fully loaded with cement, overturned along Purok 18, Barangay Irisan, Baguio City, at around 1:30 PM.
He said he encountered a vehicle that was counterflowing, which led to the accident.
Within seconds, the truck tipped over, spilling 1,000 sacks of cement onto the road.
Fortunately, no other vehicles were crushed during the incident.
The accident caused heavy traffic congestion in the area.
Clearing operations were immediately conducted, and by 5:00 PM, traffic flow in the area was back to normal.
