Two fishermen were stranded in Patar, Bolinao, meanwhile, the PDRRMO continues to monitor the effects of heavy rains in Pangasinan.
Due to strong waves caused by continuous rains from the southwest monsoon and Typhoon Carina, two fishermen became stranded in Patar, Bolinao, around 4 in the afternoon last July 23.
The fishermen, identified as Marlo Llames, 40, and John Castillo, 22, both from Zambales, were returning home to Zambales from Sual, Pangasinan when strong waves swept them away.
They were promptly rescued by BDRRM Patar, PNP Bolinao, Bantay Dagat, and other volunteers on the same day.
Both fishermen are now in good condition and were picked up the following morning, July 24, by MDRRMC Zambales.
The Bolinao DRRMO is continuously monitoring each barangay in Bolinao for any necessary response.
In Dagupan, rains continue, and some roads are flooded.
Several towns in Pangasinan are still monitoring coastal and water levels, especially in low-lying and frequently flooded areas.
Authorities are also on standby for any necessary evacuations.
In Burgos, MDRRMO, POSO, Clean and Green, and PNP personnel are conducting clearing operations to remove a fallen acacia tree blocking the national road in Barangay Poblacion.
Clearing operations are also underway for other trees obstructing roads.
The Binmaley Municipal Police Station conducted visits and inspections at evacuation centers ni Barangay Poblacion.
The Alaminos City DRRMO response cluster continues to patrol flood-prone areas and evacuation centers to ensure the safety of residents and evacuees.
The San Fabian MDRRMO is closely monitoring the water level in Cagayan-Bued River due to ongoing rains wherein the water level in the river was at 7 meters.
Residents are advised by the San Fabian MDRRMO to stay alert and updated on water level changes.
Currently, an orange warning alert is in effect across Pangasinan.
The Pangasinan PDRRMO rescue team and evacuation centers are prepared for any emergencies.
