UB grad is top criminologist licensure exams passer; KCP, UC among best performing schools

Three schools in Baguio and Benguet are the toasts after good performances in the recent criminologist licensure examinations.

This as a University of Baguio student finished on top of the licensure examinations while the King’s College of the Philippines in La Trinidad and the University of the Cordilleras are among the best performing in this year’s exams where only 30 percent of the 33,489 examinees passed.

Narcilisa Talipnao finished on top of the 11,098 passers after garnering a score of 91.6 percent beating two Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges graduates in a top 10 result dominated by provincial schools.

Daffodil Gayle Bautista and Aldemeir Alipio of RMMC finished second and third, respectively, with grades of 90.95 and 90.60.

They are closely followed by Ernie Boy Dinapo of Dumaguete Cathedral College and Thad Kendrick Toliao of University of Cebu with passing rates of 90.45 and 90.40 percent, respectively.

Holy Cross of Davao College alum Caira del Castillo trailes closely at 90.3 percent to land sixth, followed by Collegio de la Purisima Concepcion College graduate Joshua Albay with 90.2 percent.

Nicole Faye Villanueva of University of Mindanao – Davao City finished with a grade of 90 percent flat to land eighth while Joshua Manipud of PHNMA – UPang College Urdaneta and Tarlac State University’s Erika Joy Saludez complete the top 10 with grades of 89.95 and 89.85 percent, respectively.

Benguet’s youngest higher learning institute the King’s College of the Philippines is this year’s fourth best performing schools for 50 and more examinees after 70 of its 80 examinees made it or a passing rate of 87.5 percent beating perennial best school finisher University of the Cordilleras which finished with 84.62 percent with 44 of its 52 examinees made it.

TSC finished with a 100 percent passing rate with all its 87 examinees passing and this year’s top performing school followed by Cavite State University which has 93 examinees and 89 passers though none of them among the top 10.

UI of Iloilo which has the biggest number of examinees among the top eight schools with 201 has 186 passers or 92.54 percent with nobody finishing among the top 10.

At fifth is Laguna State Polytechinc School (63/73 passers or 86.3 percent, followed by UC, King’s College of the Philippines Bambang with 41 of 50 or 82 percent and at eighth is University of Southern Mindanao – Kabacan at 43/53 or 81.13 percent.
