UC’s champion cheerdancing team revived

The one time national cheerdancing team of the  University of the Cordilleras is back.
Twelve years after landing the coveted crown and its disbandment, the team that landed in the top three the two years prior are back.
In a Facebook post, UC said the cheerdancing is back during it’s 77th Founding Anniversary. “
It was also the day when the UC Campo Libertad Campus at Hamada road that caters to lower education had its groundbreaking.
The post added: “with the Groundbreaking Ceremony of UC Campo Libertad, UC Center, the cheerdancing team is revived.

The UC Dance Squad won the National Cheerleading Championship in 2011, the only team outside Manila to win the College Coed Division, the post added.
It added: “The new generation of the UC Dance Squad – Cheerleading Team aims to continue the aforementioned momentous legacy – a premier cheerleading team in the North. It further aims to unleash and showcase the cheerleading potentials of UC students.”
It also said: “Additionally, the new breed of UCian Jaguars shall promote the possibility of having a safe training environment for this sport.”
Coach Peejay Natiola will be back to lead the UC Jaguar Cheerleading Team along with Kenneth Antonio as the gymnastics coach and Terrence Soriano as dance coach.
The post added “This program shall bring more excitement to the future performances of the UC-CCP, soon to the cheer mats!” Pigeon Lobien
