VARIOUS AWARDS, EARNED BY PUGO, LA UNION; PROGRAMS, AIM TO UPLIFT RESIDENTS’ LIVES

Hope sparked in the eyes of Nanay Ulatan when she saw the newly constructed Ambangonan Bridge.

She said it has brought significant relief to residents like her.

But what excites her more is the potential influx of tourists due to Pugo LGU’s various projects.

“Our place looks better now. It’s been improved, and there are more tourists passing through,” said Ulatan Remedios, a resident.

Beyond infrastructure programs, the town’s progress is symbolized by the various awards it has received.

Among these are three recognitions from the Fiest Haraya 2024 namely: 1st place in Economic Dynamism, 2nd place in the Infrastructure Pillar, and 3rd place in the Resiliency Pillar.

“We are heading towards progress, creating opportunities for people to improve their lives,” said Mayor Kurt Walter Martin.

The awards, they said, reflect their commitment to public service.

“We have many plans for our residents here in Pugo. We continuously seek additional funding to complete our projects. To all our residents in Pugo, let us unite and work together to achieve progress for our town,” Mayor Martin added.

As Pugo’s economy grows, the local government aims to ensure that residents also benefit, as this is the best way to measure true progress in a community.
