The provincial government, led by Governor Ramon V. Guico III, aims to meet the healthcare needs of the people of Pangasinan.
A new fifteen-sitter dialysis machine center was provided to the Western Pangasinan District Hospital in Alaminos City.
This was showcased during the visit of Provincial Administrator Melicio Patague II to the Western Pangasinan District Hospital on October 3.
Pangasinan Provincial Administrator Melicio Patague II said, “When we first started discussing this, it seemed so difficult to establish the dialysis center. Yes, it was difficult with all the paperwork, coordination, budget, and preparation of the physical structure, but we were not intimidated by the huge task ahead of us. What’s more important is that we could deliver quality services to our people. Before, this was just a dream; now, it’s a reality.”
“We are waiting for the approval of its LTO (License to Operate) from the DOH so that we can start accepting dialysis patients anytime once the LTO arrives,” said Dr. Ma. Teresa Sanchez, Chief of Hospital at Western Pangasinan District Hospital.
The hospital also received new stationary and mobile X-ray machines, generator sets, a one-stop shop, and a 32-slice CT scan machine.
“This is a big help because we no longer need to go to Dagupan for a CT scan. I’m proud that WPDH has achieved an accomplishment rate of 438 and 39 percent,” Sanchez added.
The Western Pangasinan District Hospital administration is immensely grateful for the continuous improvement of the healthcare system in provincial hospitals across the province.
