Even as a child, Marice had a passion for painting.
Her usual subjects are buildings, inspired by her childhood dream of becoming an architect.
Although she didn’t pursue a career in architecture, she still expressed her aspirations through her artworks
Her creations are part of “Ug-Ugbo 3,” an all-women art exhibit at Le Yan Art Museum.
The exhibit features the works of 20 female artists in the city.
These include tote bags and paintings centered on women’s empowerment, the theme of motherhood, and more.
Visitors to the museum enjoyed the exhibit as every corner is Instagram-worthy.
This initiative was made possible by Baguio City Councilor Leandro Yangot Jr., whose aim is to provide opportunities for local artists to showcase their works to the public.
This is just a preview of a larger art exhibit scheduled for December 1.
“Ug-Ugbo” is a Kankanaey term that translates to community cooperation for a successful endeavor.
