Thirteen persons died, seven of them children, when a black Everest SUV fell into an irrigation canal in barangay Bulo in Tabuk City Sunday afternoon.
Two of the 15 passengers survived from drowning during the Bloody Sunday.
Police said that the vehicle driven by Soy Lope Agtulao of Tadian, Mountain Province that carried 14 passengers fell into the irrigation canal at around 2:30 PM.
Rescuers from the Provincial Disasters Risk and Rescue Management Center said that twelve of the victim were declared dead on arrival at the Mija Kim Medical Center in Agbannawag in Tabuk City while three were brought to the Kalinga Provincial Hospital where one of the victims died.
The victims are driver Agtulao (36), Cydwyn (6) and Cyan (4) Lope Agtulao and Sony Lopez (22) who are all from Tadian.
The other casualties all from Purok I, Bulanao of said city are: Jessabel Paycao (27), Scarlet Paycao (3), Judilyn Talawec Dumayon (31), Alfredo Cotit Lopez (59), Remedios Longey Basilio Paycao (59), siblings Sedarn and Jeslyn Talawec Dumayon, ages 5 and 4 and Marlo Perenia (6).
Edith Perez (51) and Cyrel Agtulao (10) are the only survivors of the accident.
