Cantores brothers headline Sablan fights, Kingad’s little sis mixes it up too

Brothers Emmanuel and Felix Cantores return to their hometown of Sablan, Benguet and show their wares for all their townsmates to see in the Da’jat Sablan this Friday at the municipality’s own gym.

This as another fellow Phnom Phen medalist and a younger sister of a mixed martial arts fighter in ONE Championship os also slated to fight in the only female bout of the 15 card, three discipline presented by Kafagway Combat Sports Promotion.

It will be the first professional fight for the older Emmanuel who won a silver medal in vovinam in the Southeast Asian Games last May.

The older of the brother, who was a bronze medalist in kickboxing in the Vietnam edition of the biennial meet, will meet Tabuk pride Arvin Sabado in the last fight in the 63.5 kilograms kickboxing event.

The younger brother, Felex Dave, will square it off with Cauayan, Isabela native Spencer Mamenta in the 65 kg. kickboxing fight.

Felex, who is no stranger in pro fights, took the bronze in kon bakatur in the last SEAGames.

Former Philippine muay thai player Aldritch Toralba will also see action in kickboxing as he faces Ed Liwan of Fight Corps MMA in the 57 kg. Kickboxing.

Sablan native Ellerson Langaoen meanwhile headlines the mixed martial arts competitions as he faces Mountain Province’s Zeric Amatic in the 57 kg. division.

Ivan Bryle Bestre goes up against John Paul Sarte, not the philosopher -novelist, but of Olongapo.

Other Mma fights include Fight Corps Ariel Jules Langaoan versus Aaron Powasen (61 kg); Kurt Patting faces Alester Tagure of Tabuk, Kalunga (57 kg); local Roldan Lingbanan facing Daniel Dave Egsaen (61 kg) and Daryle Wadasen opposite Bryan Alviar of Olongapo (70 kg).

Kickboxing matches include Whinny Bayawon of Lagawe, Ifugao facing John Mark Lizo of Olongapo (51 kg); Christian Padawil against Jereed Lou Tido (67 kg); and the lone female bout between SEAG kickboxing medalist Jerlyn Kingad and Baguio City National High School’s Krizan Faith Collado in 54 kg action.

Three boxing matches are also featured in the Sablan event bannered by local Rodel Mat-an facing Fight Corps’ Brenden Oppas. The undercards are: Melver Paran of Sablan gping up against Kurt Nevera of Bangar, La Union (54 kg) and Ricky Batio-an opposite Cauayan, Isabela native Prince Emmanuel Lagat (54 kg.). Pigeon Lobien
