La Trinidad hall on lockdown due the presence of COVID-19 cases among employees

LA TRINIDAD,Benguet– The La Trinidad hall,the country’s Strawberry capital will be placed under lockdown,following the presence of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) among its employees.

Mayor Romeo Salda, issue Memorandum Order informing all employees and residents that effective tomorrow,Feb.24 to 26,including Feb.27 to 28 the Municipal Hall was placed under lockdown following the COVID-19 cases involving municipal personnel has already reached critical level.

It was learned tha 8 municipal employees tested positive on COVID-19,yesterday,Feb.22, bringing to 86 active, 1,381 recoveries,32 deaths from a total of 1,499 confirmed cases.

Salda said, for the safety of the public heatlh, the Municipal InterAgency Task Force has decided to place the Municipal Hall under lockdown to give way for disinfection and contact tracing.

He said, the municipal hall will be opened today,Feb.23 at a 30% skeleton force, except for the La Trinidad Sangguniang Bayan, Municipal Dev’t and Planning Office and the Business Permits and Licensing Section which shall be closed, pending swab test results.

The Business One Stop Shop will be put on hold until further notice.

He advised to those who will go on essential travel only, will secure Health Declaration Form or Travel Authority today, Feb 23, 2021.
