Baguio City, known for its cool climate and breathtaking scenery, became the backdrop for an enchanting movie event during the Montañosa Film Festival last March 22. Cinema Under the Stars, held in the picturesque Rose Garden of Burnham Park, offered attendees a unique and unforgettable cinematic experience under the night sky.
Alyssa Amogues, one of the attendees, shared her motivation for attending Cinema Under the Stars: “I was motivated to attend this event because of the unique opportunity it offers to enjoy movies in a stunning outdoor setting. Baguio City’s cool climate and picturesque surroundings create the perfect atmosphere for an unforgettable movie-watching experience.”
Unlike traditional indoor cinemas, watching a movie outdoors at Cinema Under the Stars offered a distinctively different experience. Carl Hexon, another attendee, explained, “Watching a movie outdoors differs significantly from a traditional indoor cinema experience. There’s the immersive aspect of being surrounded by nature and the open air, which adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the film.”
For Vanessa Arenas, the unique and enjoyable aspect of Cinema Under the Stars lies in its combination of scenic location and nostalgic charm. “Unlike conventional cinemas, this event allows you to escape the confines of four walls and immerse yourself in the beauty of nature while enjoying films,” she shared.
