In anticipation of the forthcoming Montañosa Film Festival, meticulous preparations and significant announcements are being made to outline essential details and highlights for this year’s event and competitions. The festival is structured into three distinct categories: documentary, narrative, and mobile.
Last March 8, 2024, the festival proudly introduced renowned mentors for each category. In the Documentary category, notable documentarists and filmmakers such as internationally acclaimed, award-winning artists Ms. Ditsi Carolino, Jet Leyco, and Nico Hernandez were selected. Similarly, the Narrative category includes prominent figures like television actress and former child star Herlene Bautista, multi-awarded director Jade Castro, and Urian award-winning filmmaker Paolo Villaluna. Finally, the Mobile Films category features independent director Arvin Belarmino, photographer and filmmaker Arjanmar Rebeta, and one of the country’s pioneering mobile filmmakers, Mark Tristan Cua.
With only a few days remaining before the much-awaited event, particularly for avid film enthusiasts, the inclusion of these prominent figures in their respective fields as mentors adds an additional layer of thrill to the festival’s return.
