Culinary Delights awaited as WOFEX 2024 opened at the Baguio Convention Center

March 21 marked the grand opening of the highly anticipated World Food Expo (WOFEX) at the Baguio Convention Center, promising a feast for the senses from March 21 to 23. Operating from 10 AM to 7 PM daily, the culinary extravaganza drew early birds eager to beat the crowds, with visitor registration starting at 9:30 AM.

Enthusiastic companies prepared their stalls, and organizers were hard at work ensuring a seamless experience, from registration to setup. Attendees were able to register online or walk in to explore a wide array of exhibits showcasing everything from ingredients to machinery, catering to everyone from aspiring entrepreneurs to seasoned food industry professionals.

The expo featured free product tastings, sales, and informative pamphlets for visitors. From frozen goods to baking supplies, and from local favorites to international delights, WOFEX offered a global culinary experience under one roof. As well as a special guest for the booth Easy with celebrity Chef Boy Logro.

The highlight of the event is WOFEX U, the seminar program featuring renowned chefs like Chef Myke “Tatung” Sarthou, and Chef Ram Villaluna. Seminars, started at 10:30 AM and ended at 5:30 PM, were divided between March 21’s Food Business Basics Track and March 22’s Food Entrepreneurship Track.

Visitors included hotel staff, food industry professionals, and food enthusiasts, both local and from afar, making WOFEX 2024 a must-visit event for anyone passionate about the culinary arts.
